buqo is a bookstore, newsstand, and reader in a single app. It was built to give Pinoys (and Pinoys-at-heart) everywhere a single place to access bestselling Filipino magazines, books, and more.
buqo is about feeding the mind; we believe that reading is a satisfying and refreshing experience. A Filipino will find some word play in “book ko,” or “my book” in English and “buko,” translated as “young coconut,” a fruit known for its nutritional value and versatility, which has been used locally as a metaphor for the mind (as in “use your coconut”).

buqo supports iOS versions 5.0 and greater.
- buqo has auto-renewal subscriptions available to its customers. Auto-renewal means the subscription renews automatically after the subscription period has finished.
- There are several auto-renewal options for subscriptions: 3 months ($4.99) or ($6.99), 6 months ($8.99)or ($12.99) or 1 year (16.99) or (24.99), depending on the magazine. The system will auto-renew within 24 hours of the period. The total charge will be added to the iTunes Account you used to register.
- If a customer wishes not automatically renew his subscription for the next cycle, he just needs to go to his Apple ID in App Store, then turn off the auto-renewal option. Turning off the auto-renew option will cancel the subscription at the end of the subscription period.
- Auto-renewal subscriptions cannot be canceled mid term
